"I'll be an ambassador for Allentown"

Allentown deserves a Mayor that can tell its incredible story with unmatched passion and enthusiasm.

I've lived in Allentown for 16 years and grown to love every inch of the place.

As a runner, I've covered nearly every street in the City as part of my morning workouts. I've enjoyed tacos from La Placita, cheesesteaks from Zandy's, hummus from Aladdin, great beer at the Allentown Brew Works, and tried "two eggs, any style" at every diner in Allentown. I've watched bands in West Park, walked the dogs in Lehigh Parkway, played basketball at Cedar Beach, splashed at Bucky Boyle, and biked Canal Park. Allentown Art Museum, Civic Theatre, Miller Symphony Hall, Baum School of Art, and Community Music School have all enriched my family.

For the past five years, I've traveled the world telling people about Allentown and the Lehigh Valley. Ask anyone who the most excited supporter of Allentown is and they'll tell you: Matt Tuerk.

We'll take advantage of that energy and enthusiasm to both attract investment and jobs to the city as well as resources from State and Federal partners.
